2010 SET UP INFORMATION
REGISTER AT SHOW OFFICE
Please register at the show office to pick up your exhibitor passes and make any final payments. FOR EXPRESS CHECK-IN, RETURN THE FORM BELOW by February 25. Exhibitor passes are for sales staff working in your exhibit booth. You will receive a maximum of four exhibitor passes. If more than four people will be working your booth, please supply a list of names on company letterhead by February 25. We will check these individuals through the exhibitor entrances. ELECTRICITY IN BOOTHS
There is a $50.00 electrical charge for 110V 20-amp service (208v 60 amp service - $75.00). If you need electricity and did not indicate this on your contract, please order electricity by contacting our office. Exhibitors must supply their own extension cord within the booth. All electrical cords must be taped down with wide duct tape.
EXHIBITOR ENTRANCE
On Saturday and Sunday exhibitor entrances are unlocked one hour before show time. The exhibitor entrance and parking will be on the north (back) side of the building. Parking is free for exhibitors and those attending the show.
SHOW DECORATOR
CARPETING
To enhance the overall appearance of the show, all booths in the exhibit hall (“A” booth area) are asked to have carpeting, other floor covering, or landscaping material in their booth. Other booths are already carpeted.
SALES TAX PERMIT
If you plan to sell any taxable items in your booth you must have an Iowa Sales Tax Permit. A temporary tax permit will be available at check-in for those exhibitors who do not have a sales tax number. Please contact us if you have any questions.
TELEPHONE/INTERNET
If you need a telephone or internet line in your booth, please return the enclosed order form to the Mid-America Center by February 19. Click Here for order form.pdf
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Mid-America Center does not assume liability for personal injury, damage, theft, or general safe guarding of any materials. Door guards and watchmen are responsible for only Mid America Center premises.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
No food or beverages (including intoxicating beverages) may be brought on the premises without prior approval.
MUSIC
Exhibitors are not allowed to play music or videotapes with copyrighted music backgrounds in their booth due to Federal Copyright Liability laws. For more information, contact our office.
BALLOONS/DECALS
No helium filled balloons or adhesive backed decals are allowed.
DOOR SIZES
Door openings into the carpeted ballroom are 84” wide by 92” high.
MOVE-OUT
Sunday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Monday: 7:30 AM – Noon
FORK LIFT
Complimentary forklift service is available. The forklift cannot go on the carpet in the “C” booths.
LAWN MOWERS & TRACTORS
All gas must be drained from the tanks of mowers and tractors and gas caps must be taped. The batteries must be disconnected and terminals taped.
EXHIBITOR FREIGHT
The Mid America Center does not receive or ship freight. Tell your freight company to make deliveries on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday during set up. If you plan to ship exhibit material after the show, be sure to confirm with your freight company during the show.
SET UP SCHEDULE
This schedule is designed for you to drive in, unload, and then park vehicles outside exhibit hall. Exhibitors that do not have to drive to their booth can set up anytime after your scheduled set up time. Your booth must be set up one hour prior to show opening on Friday.
If you have any questions or conflicts with unloading or set-up times, please call our office. To keep set-up running smoothly, please follow move-in times as closely as possible and be courteous and patient with other exhibitors. Do not leave vehicles unattended in exhibit hall or in front of garage doors. Complimentary forklift service is available. The forklift cannot go into the carpeted ballroom in the “C” booths.
If you have any problems during move-in, please see Marty Bunge or Barbara Miller who will be on the floor during all move-in hours.
